External Linkage for Water Supply

Introduction:

The industries in the cluster are heat intensive and require large quantities of water for processes. Currently the operating units in the cluster rely on their own bore wells and ground water resources from IDCO. Such water supply sources are not sustainable both financially and environmentally in the long run.

Drawing water through intake well from the River Budha Balanga would benefit the units in the cluster, as well as, the adjoining villages.

The project impacts are as follows:

  • Access to adequate water supply on sustainable basis to unit holders.
  • Environment friendly impact through preservation of ground water resources.

The Estimated Cost:
The estimated cost is Rs. 14.28 Crores.
